Cooper tyres fitted, compared to Continentals..

Featured Replies

Had Cooper tyres fitted recently £150 all-in as opposed to Continentals nearly another £90.00 more.

Supplied with a pretty good (inclusive in price) accidental damage warranty, free replacement if unrepairable after paying just £15.00.

Statistics All Weather 'C' for wet grip and "C" wind resistance and 71DB for sound.

Compared to Continentals All Weather "B" for wet grip "C" wind resistance and 71DB for sound.

Whatcha think members...??

Well worth a go ! Some of the budget tyres are sub brands of premium tyre makers so still good quality.

Is the wind resistance measure you mention something new ?

I thought it was fuel efficiency and wet performance?

4 of them or 2 of them? If 2 on the back, be careful until you know how they interact with the fronts.

I'm not sure if Cooper tyres should be classed as a budget brand as they do own Avon.

Fitted Cooper tyres on front, as the rear tyres (different brand) usually perish before they wear-out and need replacing..

I find around 15,000 to 16,000 miles front tyres need replacing, no-matter what brand/non-brand used.

Rear tyres go for at least 40,000 miles but walls start to perish with still 3/4mm tread left, so they get changed then..

A couple i've been surprised with

Lassa's (joint partnership with bridgestone)

Gt radials (surprisingly good - on my work van - company supplied) and if anybody knows how a work van is driven its to the limits! And they don't come unstuck at all
