I've asked for a car polisher for Christmas but has anyone got any recomendations? Ideally under £40. Halfords appear to have just discontinued their one which had favorable reviews!

My recommendation is to avoid anything around £40 to be honest.

however you might want (for your first time) to spend more on a dual action machine, as a rotary in the wrong hands can do lots of damage.

I've got a DAS-6 Pro from Cleanyourcar, and it's a really good machine. Feels properly built and weighted well, plus is good to use for beginners and has an extra long cord too.

 

Unfortunately I don't think you're gonna get anything decent quality for less than £100. Perhaps best to ask for some vouchers from their instead?!

 

Spend the money now, and save in the long run :-)
