I think your dealer can enable it

I can not be bothered to go down

Someone with VAG-COM should be able to do it in a few minutes for you.

There is a list somewhere on the site , so you should be able to track down someone local and bribe them with a couple of beers

It's a 2 minute job for the dealers or for someone with VAG-COM and there's a guide on here on how to do it, along with other codings you might find useful
