First Proper Clean

Featured Replies

Hi All, Under the expert tutelage of Svend, I cleaned polished and sealed the car for the first time the other week. I think i went out to the car around 14:00, changed a wingmirror over, then began, returned indoors after many hours and managing to electrocute myself around 20:15

I PWd, washed, and used Bilt Harmer Paint cleanser, Iron X and a Polish.

Shampoos, Glass Cleaner Panel Wipe, Trim Cleaner and Polish were all Gtechniq (from the very generous Svend!)

Final Stage was to use vast quantities of C2V3. Most of the photos i took werent exactly great, and , but those i deem fit for consumption are below, though i do note the befores, were took with grey skys and the afters the follwing day, when it was a little nicer.

Wheels - Never had a proper clean - in 3+yrs - these pics are from a month ro two ago, i did them before the marathon session, but I think this does show the power of Iron X

go from left to right - Before - After PW - After Iron X (inc time scrubbing),

And Finally, A last pic of the beading I get after using C2V3 (not much i know, but it was only a very light showering of rain.

I would have liked to have spent more time polishing etc, but i dont think the results are that bad for the time i spent

Looking very good indeed. Time very well spent I'd say. The water behaviour in the rain is impressive.

Great job

You've been taught well too!!

whenever it rain or has been a bit misty, the size of the droplets are huge! its like having mini puddles up there that come cascading down the windscreen as soon as you move off. haha

Much thanks goes to Svend, i have basically pestered him about many many different things, and he very graciously has always taken the time to reply in detail.

Cheers man.
