Windows 98 SE CD

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can get my hands on a copy of Windows 98 2nd edition cd rom? i've just sat on mine and it's snapped

Are you really sure you want to install a 7-year-old operating system? :(

If you're really stuck, Microsoft supply media for a set fee if you can prove you already own a license for the software.

Fleabay probably - Most people couldn't give them I away I expect.

It's nice and easy to find on BitTorrent or Usenet.

I'm not sure I have a genuine disk lying around , but I think I have a cd somewhere with all the installers from 3.1 to ME on it.

I'll have a nose next week when I'm back at work

Surely it's not something you need every day, unless you're using it to set up new PCs with? (98??)

BT is probably best bet - something like this but with some seeders... :)

If you PM me with your details I should be able sort you out with a CD. Do you have an original serial by the way?

I run XP professional on my laptop (main machine) but have a (VERY) old desktop that I use for mucking about on that can only run Win98. Was about to start rebuilding it as it's had a wobbly!
