Fuel Gauge Problem

Fuel Gauge Problems

140bhp 4x4 Diesel yeti

My Fuel gauge was about one quarter full and showing about 200 kms left - pulled into a supermarket in northern France and filled up, (brimmed it so I know that it was full)

- Fuel gauge did not move to full stayed on the one quarter mark and still showed 200 kms DTE, (distance to end).

Over the next 100kms and about 4 days it has crept up very very slowly to nearly three quarters full and 720 kms DTE.

any ideas guys - anyone else had this problem?

Yes I have had the same problem, and we have the same model.

Not to worry.

The reason the fuel guage is "out of focus" is because you probably filled your tank with the engine running.

Make sure the engine is off next time you refill. In a couple of hundred Kilometers the fuel guage will be back to its old self.Guaranteed.
