No communication issues

Featured Replies

Hi all,

After my last scan I found that there was no communication with the Tyre pressure monitor module.

The system warning light comes on when starting and has never come on to indicate any problems and I can reset the system via the dash button once I've done my pressures, anyone any idea what could be the issue here?

Cheers

Steve

care to elaborate

are you saying that vcds can't find the tyre pressure monitor in the gateway

if this is the case, that is because it isn't there

Yeah it was there on all previous scans but now if I want to say, go into it to check fault codes or use measuring blocks it can't open it as if, as you say it's not there.

But I guarantee it is there I've not moved it!

your car has direct TPMS then? strange I've never seen it on any Vrs

care to post up your ABS coding

Eddie,

As you have no doubt guessed I'm no expert with VCDS and am still finding my feet using it. I appreciate my posts are not detailed enough and should of thought on to post up scan results etc so please forgive the lack of knowledge.

Forgot to say it was the Tyre pressure controller that I couldn't access.

Anyway here is scan from today( as could do with some advice on other things) and a ABS specific one

as I thought you don't have direct TPMS

Untick the TPMS and DSP (address 47) from the gateway installation list

both faults will clear after that

Thanks Eddie much appreciated

I take it direct TPMS is the one that doesn't have the reset button?

Cheers
