psi

Featured Replies

I've read on here about the standard psi on the vrs k03 tubby at 10psi if I'm correct. I've just bought myself an uprated re circ valve, now my mods so far are induction kit, denso irridium plugs and a black code re map, now the guy says it won't be much above standard boost, the valve I have comes with 3 springs a 5-15, 15-23 and a 23-30 psi range, which would be the better option to put in? I've got a splitter valve on atm but not that impressed with it

Fitting a higher pressure blow-off spring (whether recirc, exhaust wastegate or atmo wastegate) will only increase peak intake pressure. It won't increase power until you remap (even if then, and that will still require a custom map to work wit the other mods).

What it may do is cause the engine to throw overboost errors, and possibly CELs and limp mode.

It's had a re map by black code but I was just wondering which spring to put in as I'm not a 100% what psi it's running

Use tthe 5-15psi spring as its rated for the correct pressure if the standered is 10psi, or you could always use the one the step up from that to be sure

And did they map for higher boost? I think not, since you don't already have a higher boost recirc in there.

I was told it would be a bit above standard, I've got a splitter valve on which you adjust but not that impressed with it, most people I read norm go for an uprated re circ valve
