vRS high mileage issues

Featured Replies

Hi all

Looking at getting a vRS that I've seen. Its a 54 plate at 110,000, asking price is £3500. Water pump and cambelt changed 10k ago, and has a full service history.

How much life will that engine have, providing turbo and everything else is sound? Would be trading in my 06 plate 1.4 fabia elegance at 75k miles.

Thanks - from a vRS newbie.

Mines on 116k, still going strong.

The turbo could go at 30 or 130k. You'll probably notice vibration from the flywheel if it's original.

I know someone who has a vrs for 3700 with like 90k on the clocks full service history and optional leathers, black from south east, Kent :)

Mines on 135,000 now.  I blieve it's still on the original clutch and turbo.  Look after them and they just keep going

I agree with Dudeoli.

Mines 141200 and I've changed gearbox, clutch and dmf these are the main things since I bought it two years ago.I don't think it was looked after though (no service history) and I commute over 60 miles everyday.

173,000 miles here. :)

184k miles  :bandit:
