Brake pad advice

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a decent set of brake pads as I need a new set on the front, old ones lasted 55k but not much left in them, re makes has anyone had experience of Pagid or Bosch ?

Both cost roughly the same (£35) just need to confirm the disc diameter on a Vrs 2011 FL Diesel Dsg so I order the right ones - if anyone can help -thinking they are 312 but not sure?

Many thanks

312 on my Vrs petrol, don't see any reason why they should be different.

Should be 312mm. Just fitted pagid discs and pads from euro car parts for £96 using the discount code to get 30% off. Too early to give any feedback on their performance but imagine they'll be fine for road use. Might do thebodd track day next year so will see how they stand upto that. Original discs had done just over 50k miles and had a heavy lip on them.

Cheers for the info gents.

Neil-f - having trouble finding the discount code for euro car parts on the site, probably looking in the wrong place. Could you possible PM me?

Thanks

Got Pagid on mine all round. Braking is fine, maybe a little better than OEM.

They did tend to leave a deposit on the disc when new giving a "warped disk" feel but it was soon cleaned off with a bit of aggressive braking.

Pagid, mintex, texar are all the same company I seem to remember.

Brembo disks and pagid pads from GSF are fine too.

OEM are pretty cheap also.

My wife's car has Pagid on from ECP and they are fine, stop well and low dust compared to the Mitsubishi OEM ones - Bosch.
