rattle

Featured Replies

I have a rattle from bk of car it sounds like cumming from back window tried to find no luck any body any ideas? Doin ma nut .

I went round the car with velcro tape using it one sided only on all the usual suspects, jumbo box, glove box and rear parcel shelf.

Worked for me.

You might also want to make sure the rear side bolsters are in their clips properly and that the rear seats are properly locked in place.

Some people wrap a bit of tape around the anchor loops.

I also had a loose rear stone guard on the brake disk. I cut that off and it's getting replaced next week since I ****ed the esp ring on the hub doing it :(

Hatch or combi?

Mine was traced to a rear parcel shelf support that hadn't been factory fitted correctly. Others have found a broken retainer for the high-level brake light.

Have a look at http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/267518-annoying-rattle/ for other ideas.

Clips in the boot lid liner can come loose and rattle around

I had a rattle from the rear, turned out its the plastic surround around the back window, a little corrugated (spelling!) cardboard between it and the hatch, and all is well
