Bi-Xenon with and without LED

Featured Replies

Hello guys. I'm about to purchase a Skoda Octavia 3, and I found a decent one in stock, it's exactly how I want it, only it has normal Bi-Xenon headlights (white, no LED) instead of the lovely black Bi-Xenon headlights with LED.

Now I don't know if I should wait a few months just for this so I was wondering if I could replace them afterwards. Do you know how much this would cost? Considering it's still Bi-Xenon, I'm hoping I'd only need to buy the headlight itself without anything else.

I also can't seem to find any photos of the 'non-LED' headlights. It's either no xenon or xenon with LED, which goes to show how small of a minority I'll be a part of.

Thanks in advance and sorry if I'm asking a useless question as my first post.

Hi and welcome,

where in the world are you :wonder:

If UK then I wasn't aware they where an option here but strangely there is a picture of them in the SUK sales brochure; the main image on page 6.

Thanks, but I don't think that's it. I think the non-LED ones are white, but I'm not sure. Anyway, even if they look like that (which doesn't look THAT bad), the LED line is one of my favorite aesthetic things about this Octavia, so I'd still be looking for a way to buy them afterwards, and it would be cool to get an estimate on the price.

That´s funny, the new Golf has the led DRL as option when getting bi-xenon

You either have bi-xenon with LED DRL or bi-xenon with standard incandescent DRL as pictured in the brochure and also below.

If the Octavia you are looking to buy has bi-xenon but doesn't have the LED DRL strip along the base of the headlight then you have the headlight shown here in the second image from the left, top row (function's 4 & 5).

Function 4 is the non-LED DRL (as per non-xenon Octavia's), function 4 is the bi-xenon projector (main and dipped beam headlights)...

Great picture. Thanks man, I guess The Plumber was right.

Doesn't look too bad, although I'm still really, really curious how much it would cost to get them replaced afterwards.
