I have come to replace my upper pcv y pipe and when taking off the right hand side pipe (going to the lower system) the plastic connector off the lower pipe has snapped off :( I need the car for tomorrow, so what can I do as a temp fix???

I can't picture what pipe you have broken. But can't you sleeve the broken pipe as a temp measure?

Mine did exactly the same. I just used some duct tape till my replacement pipe came

Duct tape it big time and order a replacement.

 

Is the pipe you are on about the connector pipe at the bottom, the plastic sleeve that the jubilee clips grips against ?

The lower breather pipe connector, it's the bottom right connection in the above pic. I've managed to bodge it on will order a silicone one methinks. Plus side of the day is after a throttle body clean, some new spark plugs and a replacement coil pack. The car drives immense!! No stutters or flat spots just smooth power
