15x6J ET43 fit a 2.0TDi DSG?

Featured Replies

As per the title - will 15x6J ET43 fit my 2.0 TDi DSG Elegance?

They seem to be selling these in Emden for the 5E with 195/65 91T Continental TS850 tyres, delivered to the UK for about £375, which seems a bit of a bargain.

They are one of the sizes in the manual that will fit the Mk III and was quoted to me by SUK.

The dealers said you should not go more than one wheel size smaller than originally fitted and I went for 16"".  You could always check the willtheyfit link in the which winter wheels posted by sparky - willtheyfit

What, ...modding already ?

Looking for ways of getting winters on. 16" steels and TS850 tyres will cost a fair bit more than the 15s above. 195 width is better for the snow as well.

Skoda Auto recommend 16" rims only with V rated winter tyres for the TDI 150, both in the list of all approved sizes published by Skoda Germany and having discussed it with SUK Tech via customer services.

I wanted to keep and use the 7Jx16 ET45 rims I have for the Yeti but even though I know they will fit the official line is no they won't. So I'm going to try sell them on and get the correct winter use 6Jx16 ET48 or 50, purely to avoid insurance complications.

Oh the 15" size you mention should only be used with engine codes CJZA, CJZB, CLHA and CLHB.

Hope of help,

TP

Cheers, that was the kind of info I was after. I would have thought the brake clearance would have been close with 15s.

Time to look for a good price on some 16s then.

Funny how they recommend V rated, H was fine on a PD140.

What I always use for such questions is the https://www.wheel-size.com/

there You can check what are the OEM spec wheel types and after choosing an OEM size, You can check with any other RIM and TYRE specifications whether they gonna fit or not.

Very usefull tool. Also tells You how much more the tyres will stick out or what can You expect with fender / brake caliper clearances, etc....

cheers, G.
