Does this seem a good price?

Featured Replies

hi guys

Right, In all my 18 years of driving, I've never, not ever, had a cam belt done.  had my Mk1 Octy a week and looking through the service book and reading the internet, and the fact my aux belt tensioner seemed like it had had it, I thought it would put it in to be done.

So, Cam belt kit and water pump, A new belt tensioner and belt, fitted + government theft on top, It came to £440.  Looking at other peoples prices, I don't think it's too bad, is it?

Sounds good to me

I would say that's a little bit of the expensive side. £350 is what I would expect to pay.

Seems a little expensive. Think I paid circa 350. But that was a mk2

Sounds about right, about the same as what my dad paid at VASStech for his Jetta to have the same done.
