A year away from the end of the PCP on my wife's Fabia Monte Carlo (1.2 85ps), we were looking at the options of what we might do at the end of contract.....3 weeks later, a little number crunching and reading everything on this forum, and this morning I signed an order for a Citigo Elegance Greentec 75ps.

 

The thought of the Fabia losing value in 12 months as the new model comes out was the risk here (watching the equity drop away as the new model approaches), and in the end was the thing that made us jump early - plus the current 0% deal may not last forever......

 

The numbers made good sense, even this far out from the end of the PCP we had equity in the car to use as a deposit, and the 0% deal (which we didn't have on the Fabia) made the monthly costs come in at over £30 a month less than we're currently paying, add in fuel, insurance and free road tax and we worked it out conservatively to be almost £60 a month cheaper on what is just a car that is used to go to and from work and on local trips.

 

Had no problem with the Fabia at all, other than the abysmal headlights - a great little car that returned 50mpg if driven sensibly, but a £60 a month saving is a significant incentive!

This will almost complete the full complement of Skodas in our house over the last 8 years - Octavia Elegance Estate (07), Superb SE Estate (11), Fabia Monte (61), Yeti Elegance (13 my current car)

A nice choice of car too!

£60 a month is not to be sniffed at! If you get 50 in the fabia you should get 60mpg in the citigo driving carefully. I push on and still get mid 50s

Hi I've just swapped from a fabia 1.2 85 ps to same colour and model as you, though mine was a prereg so no extras only spare wheel

I have had my car a week today and it's a been a blast you won't regret it .
