Meh, have a look, my fronts are a vinyl leather, so would look odd.

Well, I have looked, that's why I suggested getting the Recaros to finish it off lol. But obviously, tis up to you.

Any advice for me? I would only be able to cope with a straight swap? Or the closest to, with minimal work. What are the best seats forme?

Cheers

Straight swap you need to look at polo 9n/9n3, ibiza mk4,and other fabia seats really. Or have a look through this thread for better alternatives, with some work needed,

Transcal.

Done by Transcal in Livingston for Chatham Skoda by first owners request.

yeah thanks mate, may just remove them :P

What sort of price do Transcal charge?

Isn't it around 1k for front and rear seats?

Yellow Recaros for my yellow vRS

Didn't realise for some reason until after fitting they could have a bit better base support/ less sag, I will admit that lets them down slightly.

They will stay like that for now though, at least til past christmas and into next years good weather I think before I'm concerned to try improving them.

Might just be the retaining frame bit (where the hog clips go) as I think a common issue is them pulling up/tearing out the foam when your bum slips and slides on the seat. Doh should have really checked that before fitting but all I did was swap the entire foam and fabric over.

Grey leather from a Polo 9N.

The front seats came with side airbags and they are heated.

Nice. Wired up the elements?

Thats the next project, as I bet they feel cold first thing.

Kufatec sell a retrofit loom.

Polo 9n interior bought for a bargain. Stripped my Elegance seats to get the heater elements etc out to swap into these.

Not keen on how the benches sit or how the seatbelts don't line up properly though TBH

If anyone knows what trim/ spec Polo's these came from, that'd be helpful :)

Mind you, for £50 for the seats and all the door cards, can't complain ;)

You need the rear seatbelt buckles out of the Polo, then it lines up properly, that's how I did mine as they are slightly different. My rear bench has a slight gap on the edges but when the door is shut it's not obvious.

Does anyone know how much it would roughly cost to get the 2 front seats retrimmed in leather??

I don't use my rears so would cover them up or leave as they are.

Why bother unless you have £750+ burning your pocket to do the lot.

Although I don't know what only fronts would cost, roughly half that or a bit more than half say £450-500 perhaps?

Frankly if you have fronts only and not the rears it won't look anywhere near as good as a complete set IMO

There are far cheaper options if you aren't worried about having them brand new for a full set, as this actual thread confirms if you take a look at the options for full seat replacements, you can be very happy with results and not having to put out that kind of investment.

Not saying its not worth it, but if you have that kind of money to burn then why not do full set of seats and something unique/to your desire that would really stand out and complete the car rather than look 50/50 !

As nobody wanted to buy them, I thought I may aswell replace my octys with them. Heated mk4 4motion creams.

Opinions??

Love those cream seats!

They would have come from a Polo 9n 2002-2005 Sport trim, which could have come in a few engine guises; 1.4, 1.6 petrols, 1.4 Tdi, 1.9 Tdi and the GT. Keyword is 'Sport'

As said above, the seatbelt anchors are offset on a little bracket so they line up properly. The rear interior card also bulges out at the bottom for some reason hence the gap =\

A total bargain at £50! So it was you who snapped them up from that thread last week  ;)

Bringing this thread back, as didn't want to start another.

If the MkII fabia seats bolt straight in, does that mean the seats from a Polo 6R would fit?

I believe the fronts do but not the rears.

I think it's the quilt look I'm not keen on, just reminds of the jackets every other middle-aged woman wears on the High Street

Ah sweet, I got one of them - I'm a 32 year old man.

Just fitted a set of fabia sport seats and some red seat belts, they are a lot more supportive than my old seats, must have come from a low mileage car
