Dashboard Lighting/Wiper mechanism fault

Featured Replies

I am having problems with the lighting under my mileage counter and clock "glitching" whenever I have the wiper blades running on the slowest setting. There is also a clicking noise when the blades return to rest, which sometimes makes the blades go across twice (instead of once) at the same time as the lights "glitch".

I have replaced the battery, and taken it to a Skoda garage for checks, but they cannot find a fault.

It's going back next week ,if anyone can point us in the right direction?

I have tried taking off the radio and heaters etc to eliminate them from my enquiry, and it does seem to only happen between having the wipers and headlights on at the same time.If I leave off the wipers, the fault does not occur.

Many thanks

Possible faulty relay or bad earth somewhere. Seems like there are lots of electrical faults appearing on the forum with the change in seasons!
