anti lift kit questions

Featured Replies

Can someone please explain what and how these actually work? Also what do they look like? And also what difference will it make to my handling. I'm going down the RARB route and am also thinking of one of these. I want the handling to improve but don't want really to drop the suspension because it still has to be a comfy practical family car.

I had one fitted to my Scooby a few years ago. The ALK allows the front suspension to move more freely so on acceleration in corners the front tyres retain their grip and so reduce understeer.  All this achieved by the change in the front suspension geometry.

Many fit thicker rear antiroll bars to reduce understeer but surely all this does is reduce rear end grip. So why not reduce rear wheel camber instead?

As above, it basically does what it says on the tin and stops lift on hard cornering giving more grip and a sharper turn in.
