beeping noise under hard cornering

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Lately on my lil fabia . Put RARB and some vredesteins sportrac 5 on . The difference is unreal. They made my last Bridgestone protenzas look like cheap budgets and quieter to. Highly recommend.

Anyway back to the point . Under hard cornering my car starts beeping a long slow beep and hand brake warning sign starts slowly flashing ..

Does anyone know what it is ? Or is my car just panicking thinking (omg im about to crash)

Btw im smooth with the controls and never had understeer

Sounds like the switch under the hand brake lever has become dislodged from it's holder?

Failing the above, hand brake wiring going to ground (the chassis) under cornering...i.e. damaged wiring?

Its not permanently lit up. Its a timed intermittent flash .. do fabrias have low brake warnings?

Soo Anoying when your on Round about putting down the power then the beep puts you off

Oh, that wasn't where I was going!

I'm not aware of a low brake warning...

How about the seat belt warning on the later Fabia's?  Anyone?

Could be low brake fluid. Happened to me when I had a small split in a hose.

There are no pad sensors on the vRS.

Check your brake fluid levels guys.

It was indeed the brake fluid level - turns out I have a cheeky leak on the rear brake caliper, must not of been nipped up enough the other week when I changed the brake fluid, tightening it all back up in my dinner today, whilst doing my best not to shear the thread...
