Another tyre choice help!

Featured Replies

Hi. I've got Michelin pro pilot sport on my car at the min 225/40/18 there about ready to change, I've suffered with these tyres noise and comfort!

Any recommendations on a 18" tyres which is good all round? I'm looking more for comfort and reduce in road noise thanks

Eagle F1 Asym 2s are the best all rounder.

I expect someone will recommend Rainsport anytime soon however...

Lol I will just go with the majority I think, but I have heard rainsport everywhere! I guess u have some eagle f1?

In all the tests they are mostly the top tyre.  All depends on your budget and driving style as theyre not cheap but perform the best.

I've tried the eagle f1 asymmetric found them to be very soft only lasted 7k on the front 8k on the rear. Not a fan.

I'm now converted to the Michelin ps3 by far the best tyre I've had for all round ability. £131 a corner on my 18". The Michelins have done 4k so far and 2 track days and still in great condition.

I went with continental sport contact 3's for mine. Wearing very well and good grip in the wet and dry. Not the cheapest mind.

Just changed from Dunlop SportMaxx RTs. If you don't mind replacing regularly they are fantastic, most grip I've ever had. I have the new uniroyal Rainsport 3s all round at the minute..

I'm not blown away to be honest but they are a great looking tyre, seem to have good grip and are not noisy, but I've yet to push them much. They seem like a harder compound than the dunlops which only lasted around 6000 miles of hard driving, so I'm hoping they'll last a while longer.

The '2' variant are much better and offer better fuel economy and less wear.
