Hey guys, I have a problemo. I find the last week that my gas tank dont last the way it alway was.

My trip computer average alway says between 9.3 to 10.3L/100KMS............ Now it says 11.7L/100KMS

The only thing that is diferent is the weather..... last week and this one is raining..........

My driving style hasn't changed..................

My car is a 2002 Skoda 1.8T stock with 15,000 KMS

11.7l/100kms is about 25mpg - not good ! I average about 31mpg (9.4l/100kms) and I drive pretty fast ! The weather can have a slight impact, if it's cold you can use more juice, but I can't see that being responsible for such a big difference.

Cold air will produce a more efficient burn and produce more power from a turbo engine. You'll probably see less mpg due to the fact thast you're enjoying the drive.

Hot, dense, air makes a turbo engine feel sluggish and in general will have a detrimental effect on mpg.

Has your car "felt" different when driving, lately?

Panama is a lovely country - although you have only driven 15k, have you checked the air filter is not clogged ?
