Rapid 1.2 Tsi Engines - Old or New Yet?

Does anyone know if the Skoda Rapid 1.2 Tsi engines are the new variants? i.e. ones without a timing chains. The new Golf and Octavia have these later engines and I’m led to believe a new 1.2 Tsi is due out next year but I don't know if they've made it to the Rapids yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated J

Rapid has the older TSIs with chains, new ones as in Octavia/Golf have belts.

 

No confirmation of the Rapid to get the new engines yet, but it will probably happen at facelift time (maybe 2.5 years from now).

 

But I wouldn't worry; "old" TSIs are probably still better than the engines a lot of the opposition are using.
