Rear driver side speaker don't work help

Ok so i replaced speakers today and just noticed the driver side don't work.

The speaker does work as tested it on other side 

Few years back I fitted aftermarket rear speakers and disconnected the tweeter plugs at rear speaker end, so the tweeters  would not work(gave much better sound from rear speakers)

Recently I did have rear drivers door panel removed  and I unplugged the tweeter cable from the tweeter in the door. although should not make a difference as the loom to tweeter should still get power from head unit to rear speaker?

Car is a 2001 Octy VRS hatchback

any suggestions folks....
