I may sound daft but I can't seem to get the interior lights to work is there something that I'm not doing right ?

Your best bet would be to post in the forum relevant to the car you have, confirming which particular model.

Do they not work at all? When opening door and the switch?

If not then try the fuse, side of dash drivers side.
