Featured Replies

Ok so when i bought the car it came with an evolution Motorsport induction kit fitted and it sits behind the light, im looking for an induction kit that takes air from were the standard one takes air from or something similar does anyone know any decent induction kits.

Depends on whether its a Tfsi or Tsi, what model have you got?

Its the 2.0 tfsi

I have a Neuspeed P-Flo which takes air from near the standard intake. It is a open cone with an AmD tuning heatshield.

Is yours the Evoms induction kit?

I had a carbiono cold air induction kit on my tsi.Looked really good when fitted and gave a bit more turbo noise but wasn't loud as it is still enclosed. Didn't notice any performance gain (car has stage 1 remap) and ended up removing it and have now sold it.

What did you replace it with or did you go back to standard?

Cheers

Nothing wrong with the evoms. Regarded as one of the best! Remove the heatshield if its fitted for better air flow

I have the Dbilas for the Tfsi. It bolts directly to where the old intake fits but instead of an air box it has pipe work. I think it must be one of the quietest but also one of the most expensive.

I'm not sure how well it performs and I prefer to run stock box for everyday use as I prefer the better filtration of the stock filter.

What did you replace it with or did you go back to standard?

Cheers

Suprised it gave that much of a gain even on stage 2. Made no difference on my stage 1 tsi and my previous car which was a leon cupra r with stage 2 and a similar induction kit didn't make that much of a gain either.

Really tempted by an induction kit bit they all seem really loud

if you get an enclosed one such as the carbonio it is not loud. Induction kits on turbo cars are generally quieter than the ones you hear on non turbo cars...

made a difference on my car on stage 1 also, but less than stage 2, I think people expect miracles from an intake, thats not going to happen, nothing makes as big a difference as a remap.  For what its worth the graphs on APR's website are fairly accurate in comparison to my logs:

I have the evoms on my tsi with a k04 and it makes a large difference. On my tfsi I had an evoms as well and it is regarded as the best tfsi intake
