Wheel refurb? How much?

Featured Replies

Hi all, im looking into getting some 17" spiders in the new year and was wanting them to be in anthracite. I know doing this your self would be cheaper but how much would it cost if i paid somebody (a professional) to do this for me?

Anyone have any experience of a pro refurb?

A guy near me does them for £40 per wheel, any colour you can think of and he re fits your tyres and balances them too. He is in Widnes.

Hi James. Thanks for the reply. I'm trying really hard not to buy brand new wheels so a refurb some pre loved ones would suit my budget at the mo, being that time of year. Though widnes is a little far away. Hopefully ill find someone local who can provide the same kind of service.

I use a guy near J25 of the m1, wheel repairman on Facebook, charges me £25 - £30 wheel

Anywhere from 40-60 quid per wheel for a good quality refurb and recolour. Any cheaper and I would be considering the quality.

With a refurbishment, does this include the removal of kerbing marks, stone chips, etc. before they are repainted?

Midlands Car Care on Facebook

Contacted them recently about mine, getting them done in the new year

16" wheels would cost £190 for a full refurb which includes a full acid strip, shot blast and tyres all refitted, rebalanced etc.

Drive in service is available, as is same day turnaround but depending on unit availability we may sometimes need to move your vehicle to our other location which is a couple of miles away - we have an extensive £4000 insurance policy which covers us to do this fully comp for you.

We also wax the wheels and provide a 12 month warranty on the work undertaken.

Thanks, MCC
