Headlight washer issue.

Featured Replies

Giving the car its weekly bath I rinsed the front bumper off and the cap that covers the headlight washer fell off.  Tried clipping it back on and it just wont fit.

It seems the washer jet mechanism has retracted back further than it should, but sill works fine.

It there a way to manually motor them out to re attach this cover or is it a case of removing the arch liner and pushing out from behind.

Stumped by his one.

Any ideas peeps?

I had this with mine. It was the nearside one which had become detached. Provided none of the little clips have broken off, they do just clip back on. But first you will need to gently pull the jet towards you with some long nose pliers. There is no motor as such to drive them out, as they are powered by water pressure I believe, and you would get rather damp if you asked someone to operate the washers whilst you tried to catch it.

Ive replaced 3 of those covers now ive resorted to gluing them on with araldite
