does this come with the loom wiring, as not sure the octy 1 has this fitted?

Just the mirror and black strip from the head lining . NinjaVRS has pm'ed me for the so it provisionally sold for now

ah ok, no probs, these need the wiring loom to work and the vrs doesn't have that. Shame as would be a nice easy upgrade if it did

When I fitted my mirror in the Cordoba I got hold of a wiring loom off ebay for £5. Came in handy for other spare connectors too.

 

Just tapped into the interior light wiring then also ran a wire up for the reverse light to make it turn off when in reverse.

 

You will also need a different mount as the one for dimming normally incorporates a space for the light/rain sensor.

 

I bought it from the dealers and glued it round the existing one. Looked very neat and the only thing that gave it away that it wasn't original fitment was that there was no rain sensor in the middle.

You can also find the wiring loom in any mk4 golf /bora in the scrap yard . Most ov them have a auto dim mirror just not a black one

If NinjaVRS don't get back to me about it this week end I will give you first dibs
