windscreen replacement

Featured Replies

got a lovely crack in my windscreen and have been quoted £162 to replace is that decent or on par with anyone else who's had this done? cheers

Sounds like a pretty good price....who quoted you that?

Don't you have comprehensive insurance?

Cost me £70 with my insurance, came to me same day and replaced it.

not covered by my insurance and it's by premier windscreens

Pay extra and go heated!

I found a local independent windscreen fitter near where I live to replace the screen in my Golf, I called him, he asked what car it was, then hung up, a week later he said he had a screen and would fit it for £70, came out to the house, old screen out and new one in within half an hour, couldn't fault it.

Also call your local scrap yards or breakers and they will be able to put you onto a fitter and possibly supply a used screen for £15 or there a bouts.
