I have just bought my 2nd vrs this time it's completely standard and I want to do few mods to it without going down the hybrid route as my last one was and the missus said it was bit much for her lol so anyway I wanted do basic mods like mufflectomy air filter/panel filter which ever is best egr delete and mapping I was wondering whether a golf 20vt side mount would be better then the standard vrs one for heat soak reasons or with them mods would the standard one be fine I don't want front mount this time round cause knowing me will go all out on everything else(hybrid,clutch,Smf) also if I was to change it to the golf one will it fit

yer I have seen this but I don't no anyone either to fit it only reason I said the golf side mount is I have 2 of them laying around at work from my previous cars so would be saving myself money

The darkside uprated side mount will not fit a Fabia.

 

Easy way to reduce heat soak of the standard side mount is to put a vent in the wheel arch letting the hot air escape.

Buy one hack off ends and weld pipes onto it at different orientation.

I don't know if they are mate I would have thought a golf one would be bigger

No Golf side mounts don't fit.

 

As you can see, the brackets are completely different, and the angle of the connectors is different too

Ok mate we'll thanks for clearing that up will leave it as it is one more thing with the mufflectomy exhaust does it matter whether it's done before or after a remap only asking cause it's not really a performance enhancing mod is just for sound really

yer I no mate I was just doing it for noise reasons only I like the sound of them when done seen a few videos on YouTube of members on here sound good

Decat does virtually nothing, I've logged etc and talked too John Fabooka about it and looked at data myself.
