front anti roll bar links

Featured Replies

I have lowered my mk1 vrs on coilovers and obviously came to the problem of finding shorter anti roll bar links... well the answer is Mercedes vito ones :) the o/s is the n/s one and vice versa... and they are 2 inches shorter which I believe is more than enough when rolling on 18s :)

Yep well known this. mod.

Cheap as chips too..... Just done these as fitted the coilys too. Happy happy days

I've just dropped mine witch ones do I need to get I went to Gsf and they haven't got a clue what year do I need

I went with a 2.3 petrol 638 model vito

Euros price 5.88 each (left and right) :)

Part number for one side is 614220110

Hope that helps buddy

Cheap, too cheap?

Yep very cheap but the same part was 12.00 at gsf same brand too.....

Christmas coming and every penny counts;)

Cant argue then

I know don't know how they can justify the prices at gsf..... And I used to work with them too:)

What diffetence does it make ?

I thought the octy was ok lowered ?

Whats the other part number

614220110

and

?

If you get coilovers made for the vrs rather then "fits all octavias " standard ones are fine

Sorry Lloyd I can't find the other part number at the mo.:(

Mr.G I didn't know that you could use the standard links... I got the vrs prosport coily kit but never thought to check the original links against the mount holes on the coilys....

Ah well at least things are new under there..... They were shiny but the colchester weather is crap and now they are not so shiny :(

So you can fit "fits all octavia" coilovers to the vrs?

I really don't know..... I think there is 30 quid difference between the 2 kits

Barge speak to Damien at dpm he helped me loads in my choices on coilover kit for my vrs... He is on here somewhere

You do not need shorter drop links when lowering the vrs with coil overs apart from if you fit the pro sport ones. As these are made with the drop link mount 2" lower on strut. It is not about fitting none vrs coilovers needing shorter drop links as such as a lot of none vrs coilovers do not even have the brackets to fit vrs drop links in the first place. Also none vrs coil overs will be different poundage so why fit the wrong coilovers.
