Windscreen replacement

Sorry to hear that Andyspan- hopefully from what most people have said it usually goes ok. Really hope so. Guess what?!  My repair has split into 2" crack today  :swear:   must be the frost has affected it I suppose.

Autoglass said if it goes in the same place up to a year I will get the replacement F.O.C. which is some consolation. Still a bit fed up about it though. Will contact them on Monday.

Screen fitted today complete with new A pillar black trims, excellent job by Autoglass, greatly relieved! :whew:

Mine was done yesterday also complete with new black trims, perfect job executed by the same nice man who did the repair. Well done to Autoglass, I can't tell the difference from the original! Really pleased.

Well, that didn't last long!

Just over two months down the line and it's happened again on the same road- mud and debris from a farm on fast A road, guy speeding past, BANG! size of 1pence piece about 6"  up on left of passenger side. Large stone whizzed across the car and luckily hit that bit and not right in my sightline. Wish I could avoid the road but unfortunately my only route home from town, without miles of detour (it's already 25 miles)- mind at this rate it may start being more economic!

I am going on three week trip next week to Northumberland and  The Rhins of Galloway, if it doesn't crack I am leaving it until I get back! The way this going it  will only happen up there too!

My poor Yeti screen seems to be jinxed, only ever lost one screen before and that was 15 years ago.  :(

My screen being replaced tomorrow after picking up a crack on Monday which has lengthened from the original 2" to 3" long to around 1 ft.

Very pleased and surprised to find some people have had the black plastic pillars included , fingers crossed Autoglass still have the same policy.
