Crash resistant dog cage - Superb Estate

Featured Replies

I pick up my first Skoda next week - a 2013 (13) Superb estate, TDI CR 170 Elegance 4X4 in Black

I need a cage for my dogs - any ideas ?

Must be a quality item - not just a thin wire cage.

Quality?

Travall...

I have had their dog guards and boot liners, they are just superb. Pun intended. They also do a very sturdy looking dog cage. Or you could just go for the dog guard and separator, so you have 2 separate compartements in the boot, one for the pup, one for luggage et al.

Fast shipping, good instructions, but you pay for the quality...

EDIT if your car is a facelift Superb, you might want to check with them. Their product line doesn't mention a facelift...chances are you can make an appointement (don't know where they are based or where you live though) and they will use your vehicle to develop the products...might give you a very nice discount...

Try www.barjo.co.uk

They are British built and do all manor of things. Well Dog Cage/Guard type things.

They are made to measure. I had a tailgate guard for my Astra estate and Octy estate. Had no problems with them.

One word of warning for the Superb dog guard. If you go genuine then whilst the guard is around £100 it is dealer fit only as it uses special tools and is about two hours work. I had one fitted!

I have the Ferplast Atlas 100. I paid £90 new and I can vouch that it fits perfectly into my Superb estate/combi. Also very easy to remove and feels like it will last for years.

BTW...my dog is a springer spaniel and she now leaps and clears the bumper (thankfully) in her eagerness for her walks. I recommend whole heartedly.

Not "tailor made" but it is almost like it is made for the car as it fits exactly between the moveable bands that slide in the track, hence no movement from side to side.

I ended up with the Safedog one.
