I'm thinking of buying a Golf MkIV 4Motion to sit alongside my Octy VRS. Borrowed a VCDS cable from an Audi obsessed mate, and did a full scan on a car I saw this afternoon. Only a couple of fault codes, which isn't too bad to say its an 11 year old car. One looks like an ABS sensor which seems an easy and cheapish fix. The ABS light is on on the dash, so that would explain that one. I'm slightly cocerned about the fault code on the Haldex AWD system. Seems like this could be a potential disaster.

you will probably find the fault is related to the abs sensor issue as the awd system will need all four sensors to be working correctly.

That's what I though. Thanks Rover.

And it may not be the sensor, it could be damage to the wiring.
