Front Assistant and Electric Mirrors on a VRS

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if front assistant and/or electric mirrors are included as standard on a VRS?

I was told when flicking through the brochure that the VRS included everything listed in the brochure on the other models in addition to the bits listed on the VRS page which I think may be incorrect.

it has everything the SE has plus what's listed on the vRS page, no front assist but the mirrors are electric but not folding as this isn't available in the UK on the vRS.

Electric (non auto folding) mirrors standard. Front assist is an option, but it may be unavailable right now due to supply chain issues.

Thanks. Shame about the folding mirrors though. I was thinking about amending my order to include the front assist but reading about the delays on the orders page I think I will give it a miss.

I think they'd say no even if you tried....

No Front Assist on Octavia 3 at this time. It was removed some time in October due to supply issues...sadly.

If order was placed before October, would you still get Front assist?

Unlikely.

Don't know how true is it.

When I spoke to SUK last week questioning my provisional build week. The guy told me that FA will be standard for the VRS. I asked for a confirmation he promised to send me a new brouchure by post.

Front assist isn't standard on the vRS, it was standard on the elegance but was dropped from that and as an option due to supply issues...... Unfortunaly SUK know little about their own products.

I have heard that before.  However, mine was ordered in mid September and I was told then that it would not have front assist due to supply problems. SUK also confirmed this a few weeks ago when they informed that my car was to be build in week 49.

So are they refunding the money you paid for the front assist?

Hmmm, seems a bit hit and miss then, guess the only way to tell is to wait and see when they turn up....

It's not been discussed...yet.  However, they did clearly state that it wouldn't be fitted and I proceeded with the order.  To be honest, I don't think they really know which is a bit of a worry but I should find out soon enough.  I'll let you know.

My car did seem to break the delivery time mould though, I believe it was ordered around start of September as a dealer stock car, I ordered around the 23rd, changing it to a vRS with pretty much every option, so all the delaying ones and I picked the car up at the start of December.

My car ordered 5th August, it turned up on Thursday just gone with front assist and ACC (as I specified it).

So you specc'd front assist even though they told you you cant have it?

No.  It was in the system since mid September, intended to be the dealers demonstrator.  I ordered it for me instead on November 12th.

I understand that at the time the dealer ordered the car, it was standard on vRS so it couldn't be specc'd.  Despite this, the dealer said that it probably wouldn't be fitted due to supply problems.  We'll see.  It'd be good to have but it's not a deal breaker.

Nope its never been standard on the vRS so as it wasn't ordered as an option you won't have it.

Me thinks front assist and lane assist are getting confused. Front assist was standard on Elegance for about 3-4 months, Lane assist is standard on vRS.

For Adaptive Cruise you need front assist, for Traffic Sign Recognition on Sat Nav models you need Lane Assist.

Sent from my phone so please excuse brevity and spelling
