'08 Octavia 1.6fsi - ongoing injector problems and developing clutch problem

Beginning of this year we had injector no.2 replaced - had been struggling to accelarate, shuddering and occasionally losing all power. This seemed to solve the problem until 6 months later when injectors 3 and 4 went. Same replaced, all was well until 3 days later when no.2 went again! Again replaced (fortunately under warranty). A further 4 months down the line, and same symptoms are appearing again. However, at the same time, the clutch is making a whirring sound, and when fully depressed you can feel vibration through the pedal.

None of the mechanics who have worked on the car can find a reason for the injector fault and it's now all getting a little pricey and stressful! Can anyone say if these issues are related, and if we are missing something? Thanks in advance for any help.
