Rear window noise and warranty

Featured Replies

Hi guys brought my Octavia VRS on Saturday from Robert Eardly in Stoke. It's an 08 reg. Now on the test drive there was a bit of noise and just ignored it as was really windy and raining. On the way home yesterday afternoon I noticed it getting worse and unbearable as who wants a radio on so its defining. Now would this be covered under Skodas 3 month used car warranty or do I need to fix it myself?

What is the fault that is causing the noise?

I believe it too be the rear quarter light windows.

Never bought a 2nd hand car from Eardley's - but had all my Skoda's from them as new.

They are really good in after sales service - Give Alex a ring on servicing and ask her if they can take a look, I'm sure they will be able to assist.

Thanks HotRod my only issue is Stoke is 60 miles 1hr 30mins from me as im in Mid Wales. But will give them a ring tomorrow and see if I can take it too Furrows in Oswestry

If it is the rear quarter lights, is it a common fault on a Octavia vRS,

& what is the actual problem, is one side not sealed, are both sides not sealed

Do you think some repair or replacement has already taken place ?

Have you tried sitting in the rear when someone else is driving to try and find the fault?

Yer I know it's the rear quarter light glass. Can feel a slight draft. Have rang Robert Eardly and explained it too them. There going to have a look Friday
