S3 Intercooler

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

I have just acquired a S3 intercooler (alloy ends). I'm trying to find out which intercooler hoses I need to fit the intercooler.

I'm looking for some uprated ones as I'm looking at stage 2 next.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks for any help.

you need OEM S3 hoses, Forge would do uprated ones, but they are expensive IIRC around £160

Thanks for the reply. I've just been reading that dependant on year there may be trimming required of even the OEM S3 hoses.

Apparently this is something to do with the angle on one of the outlet pipes.

Don't suppose you know anything about this? There seems to be so many conflicting posts on this subject, it simply adds to the confusion. :s

IIRC, you remove the metal fittings of the OEM hoses & then trim to length as required.  No new hoses required but you might need some 50-70mm clamps.

you can butcher your OEM hoses too IIRC, but my techie just used the S3 hoses that came with the cooler, was a tight fit but didnt need trimming IIRC
