I think that it is possible to retrofit a maxidot instrument cluster, although I don't think VCDS can code it.....

 

My car is a 56 octavia classic TDi PD (1u). The main thing I want is MPG readout and trip computer type readouts.

 

I presume I will need a cluster from a diesel so that rev counter is matched, is there anything else I need to know about?

 

Does the cluster have to be from another octavia or will other skoda or even vw/audi etc work?

I think I have a spare Octavia L&K cluster with half height MFA display somewhere, I'll have a look for you.

I was looking for 1 for my car too.A forum in Greece did a group buy from a site that use to sell them,but I wasn't able to get it at that time. I will find the site from the forum and get back to you.
