don't trust downloading after a bad experience which resulted in older maps not newer

How much did you pay?

My local dealers have told me they can order them in. I've got an original V7 disk I got with my car and they told me it's a trade-in price of £50 which is pretty acceptable I feel.

Yes, not a bad price, especially when going from v7 and to have the assurance that it's the genuine article.

Apart from roads being updated does v.10 offer much over v.9?

Tnx.

How can I tell which version I have; dealer said he's updated it but I'm doubtful.

Press and hold setup for 20 secs. If you have updated software a menu with version info will pop up and in that will be a four digit map version. 7690 is v8, 7918 is v9 and 8048 is v10.
