V10 TDI Fabia

Featured Replies

Hmm, if wv had to de-tune it how about those remaps around then (lot of chassis breaks to expect?) :) Btw, evo mag just recently tested the new 4.2 TDI (V8 unit with twin turbo) in audi A8.

322bhp and 645nm, that's not exactly weak either ;) shoots the big audi from 0-60 in 5.9 seconds :D

people who remap a toureg v10 tdi WILL break the car, the transmission an't take standard power + abuse let alone shed loads more

I think they de-tuned it to make it last longer, otherwise they wouldn't be able to give a 3 year warrenty and make money!

like I said I "think"

my mate's neighbour works at a place where they test cars, his job is to put something like 1k miles a week on a ar and see how it fares on long journies, short journies etc

every single V10 tdi toureg they had broke the transmission

I guess it's difficult to build transmission that can cope with such force.. I remember reading somewhere that one of the reasons why bugatti veyron is not in production is that they simply can't make it last, if I remember correctly it had something utterly crazy like 1001bhp and 1250nm.. :D

Jason's next project maybe?

Fabia 3.2 - hmm, has a certain ring to it ;)
