Deactivating FRONT parking sensors

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

my car is a Skoda Oktavia 4x4 TSI (2008)

I have parking sensor onboard, front and rear.

I would like to know if it's possible to deactivate the SOUND (just the sound and not the screen functionality which comes useful when parking frontway) of the FRONT parking sensor via VCDS

Thanks,

Sino

I don't think you can do it with VCDS. I think there are separate buzzers for the front and rear sensors, so you could just unplug the front buzzer.

I thought you could adjust the tone and the volume of the front or rear sensors using the stereo setup menu.

It’s not something I have looked into on a Škoda, but you can certainly change the tone and volume on an Audi (with VCDS) so it’s worth a look.

Can do that to the ones on my Octy, but only have rears at the moment.

I can change volume and tone via Maxidot but it doesn't allow for volume at 0, just volume at 1 that is still audible even at the lowest frequency.. :(

Tried via VCDS and seems it's the same as Maxidot, it does not let me set the volume a 0 (range is 1 to 9).
