PDC Faulty

Featured Replies

I have front and rear PDC sensors with the optical display on my Columbus.

Today the front left sensor continuously bleeps and the display is showing red as if I am parked against a wall.

Is this a sign of a faulty sensor or perhaps water ingress given the recent rain or perhaps something else.

Thanks

I should think a dodgy sensor. You could try swapping two over and see if the fault moves.

Give it a good clean first before you take it apart, as it's probably water ingress. Once they dry out, they're usually fine.

My rears do it on the Blackline, water ingress. Soon returns to normal. Nothing to worry about.

You can feel which sensor is defekt, take a finger and touch the sensors. The sensors which Works will shake a Little.

A sensor not Work will not shake.

In reverse.

Blow into the one that you think is faulty.

I can almost guarantee you it will be fine.

Once you dry them all give them a quick squirt of silicon spray to protect them from water.
