FL VRS TSI chasing M3 at Brands

Featured Replies

I have just posted my track day video from earlier this year at Brands Hatch of my company car.

I was proud of how the Skoda performed against the M3 and other far more track focused Clio 172 etc and proves what a fantastic car we all have

car is modded as sign off below but at the time did not have either the front or rear ARB which i believe would have improved cornering and traction.

For the first two laps I took it easy as it was a bit damp!

Is this the Silver Octy that was at Brands when I was wizzing round in my Red Yeti a month or so back?

(there was an M3 and a Clio there then, I remember overtaking them. :giggle: )

This was back in April this year just taken me all these months to work out how to use youtube!

Enjoyed that! Very impressive.

How were the tyres afterwards?

I'm more impressed you took your company car for a thrash round Brands!

I didn't see many Insignia's whizzing past :giggle:

The tyres did well I still have rears on and the fronts managed 27000 miles, see previous thread http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/294790-27000-miles-on-vreds/

I always personally limit any track sessions to 20 minutes, that particular day I did 20 minutes in morning, changed brake fluid (ATE superblue) and went out for another 20 minutes after lunch.

I respect the car and know it is too road focused to handle to much time flat out on the track. Even after 20 minutes the brakes are shot (zero 60 discs with Mintex pads).

Fair play. Look after the car and it'll look after you. Would love to track mine, but can't justify the expense at the moment.
