upgrading to Pagid 312mm discs but which set of pagid pads?

Featured Replies

One has a wear sensor the other doesn't.

ok so I assume I get the ones without as fabia mk1 doesn't have a wear indicator?

I am surprised that the ones without the sensor are actually more expensive

The 'sensor' is a piece of wire you can cut off if you want to save money, to be honest I didn't look at the price, the Fabia Mk1 doesn't have 312mm brakes at all so these pads are for a different car which may or may not have a wear sensor leads fitted, you'll just have to 'wing' it!

I bought ones with wear sensors (couldn't be bothered to check) and just cut them off.

The standard Fabia Vrs pads are the same size, it's only the discs that are bigger

That doesn't make any sense since the radius would be different and therefore the pads swept arc would change as well, standard VRS pads would be the wrong shape.

Maybe it's just the rear pads then, my brother upgraded his octavia to the 312 and 256 and the pads were the same. For the most part the calipers are the same, it's only the carriers that are any different to allow for the larger disc

Cut the wires off. I did and no issues.

Yeah on the golf/octavia/leon ect you just need different carriers and disks. I looked into it when I had my 1.8T.

ok so now I only need the audi tt carriers and use these vrs calipers?

Front pads are different.

Rear standard pads and the 256mm vented setup pads are the same.

That's what it is. I knew one of them were the same :)

I have a set of Pagid pads you can have at a reasonable price
