Random Battery Light

Featured Replies

Was driving from work today and whilst accelerating (barely accelerating..my car seems damn sluggish at the moment but it needs timing) the battery light flickered on.

I couldn't make it do it again and this is the first time it's done it.  :wall:

Is there any known faults?

Could it be the aux belt slipping? I've just taken it off and put it back on again after a cambelt change.

Done another search this time not on my phone and could possibly be alternator load signal wire..is this the one on the top of the alternator?

Have a look at where these wires pass through connectors below the gearbox but near the engine/gearbox junction - if my memory serves me well! You should find a floppy weakened wire which needs breaking and a new section spliced in.
