For Sale - AUQ Octy vRS Mk1 engine.

Featured Replies

The engine from my breaker is up for grabs.  I am keen for it to go before it standing around too much begins to affect it.

The mileage is unknown as although the car it came from has 260,000 miles on the clock, the engine once removed revealed itself to not to be the original engine anyway, thanks to a "1.8T" classic breakers yard scrawl on it.  Condition looks pretty good, as per pics below.  Probably suits someone planning a bit of an octy project as might benefit from stripping down and fettling.  What I can say is the car was running perfectly, boosting 100% and felt like it had all 180bhp (was entirely stock, no mods) on tap.

Would like it collected from Exmouth in Devon,  The first offer of £100 will take it, although I think I would like the alternator off it.  I shall include the clutch but chances are you'll want to replace as I don't know the condition and there are some marks on the pressure plate which suggests some small bits of material have been bashing it.

I am travelling from Exmouth to Leicester and back on 2nd Jan and "in theory" could bring this with me, but it would be a royal pain in the butt to haul into the mongrel, and out again (I have no hoist)

PICS:-

Happy to split this into bottom end / top end.  Not sure where the photos have gone though?
