Folding Wing Mirrors

Featured Replies

Lots of components in engine bay will have a date of manufacture stamped or stickered - this will give a good idea when the car was built.

Cheers. Didnt think of that. Suppose i assumed most items in the engine bay could have been manufactured a while beforehand.

Actually just thinking, the car is actually kind of wide isn't it?, anyone had issues with certain width restrictions in the UK?

I know most are 2.1 Metres but there are a few that are smaller.

For instance there is one near me, which is marked as 6ft 6in, which according to the internets is 1981.2mm?

Now looking at the dimensions on the skoda website the octavia width including mirrors is: 2017mm...   have i done the maths wrong here or is this a potential annoyance?

With short supply chains they put them together quickly, I have noticed quite a few parts on my car dated May and took delivery of it mid-June.
