Parking sensor's unit position

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've installed a set of rear parking sensors a while back (not OEM, but a cheap fleabay set), and so far, they seem to work fine.

Trouble is, i've just found a bit of additional information which came with the installation manual, which tells me "For buzzer system, please place the buzzer from the main box as far as possible" (sic). Suffice to say, mine are sitting right next to each other, on top of the CD changer in the boot.

Will this be OK in the long run, as I really don't want to go about pulling up the boot interior again?

Thanks!

Factory installed are mounted on the rear lh wheel arch.

That's the module. The buzzer is in the lh passenger b pillar (and also near the steering wheel if have the extra one for fronts) so not too far apart.
